lead on grass. They have never met on clay.
Federer has won each of their Grand Slam matches (all three were in the final) at the 2008 US Open,
2010 Australian Open,
and the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. However, Murray leads 5–1 in ATP
1000 tournaments. They have met three times at the ATP World Tour
Finals, with Murray winning in Shanghai in 2008
and Federer in London in 2009 and 2010.
Their most recent encounter was in the 2012 Wimbledon final, where Federer was victorious in four sets and federer won the wimbledon for the 7th time
